As I read through various real estate sites where home buyers and sellers can ask questions, I often run across a home owner who is not happy because their house is not being advertised in the local newspaper.
What they don’t seem to realize is that print advertising when selling your home is one of the least effective ways of marketing a property to as many qualified buyers as possible and is becoming more obsolete by the year. All you have to do is take a look at the ever shrinking Real Estate section of the Times-Picayune to know that in New Orleans there are very few agents that are still using the paper as a marketing tool.
Why have so many agents stopped using the newspaper?
