Marrero Home Sales

After taking a dip in 2013, Marrero home prices are on the rise again.

From 2013 to 2014, the number of sales increased from 291 to 308 as of August 31st.

In that same time frame, the average sold price rose by almost 10%, harkening back to a pre-Katrina market when we saw steady 8-12% increases each year.

Days on market dropped from 95 in 2013 to 87 in 2014, also an improvement. Shorter marketing times typically are a reflection of interest in a community. While the days on market is not spectacular, it is at least getting better.
