New Orleans LA 70114 and 70131 Home Sales
It’s been a little while since we’ve looked Algiers home sales, so let’s take a look at what’s been going on in that market. I’ve pulled numbers both including and excluding English Turn and the Lower Coast, since just a couple of high end sales can skew the average sold prices.
Anyway you slice it, though, prices and sales are on the upswing.
When comparing year to date sales as of August 31st to last year, the number of homes sold has increased by over 23%. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen this type of trend in Algiers.
Prices are up as well, ending August at $138,302 (excluding English Turn and the Lower Coast) and the average time it’s taking a home to sell has dropped to right at 90 days.
What sellers need to know
Algiers seems to be making a comeback, so if you plan to sell in the spring, it’s time to start getting your house in order, photo and show ready.
What buyers need to know
If you’re considering buying in Algiers, know that prices are going up, so waiting for a better deal might mean that you have to settle for a smaller home.
