Gretna Heritage Festival
The Gretna Heritage Festival kicks off Friday and runs through Sunday evening. The biggest annual event in Gretna, the entire weekend is filled with food, music, arts and crafts and more.
Back to the River Fall Concert Series
Free Friday concerts, 6:00-8:30 pm, October 9 – November 6 at the Gretna Amphitheater, Huey P. Long Avenue at the River. No cover charge, food and drinks will be for sale. Bring your lawn chair and your dancing shoes! Da Rockits, Boot Hill, MJ & The Redeemers, The Yat Pack and Big All & The Heavyweights are all scheduled to perform.
Back to the Drive-in
Free outdoor movie series, every Saturday from October 10th through October 31st. A great family friendly event, the schedule is as follows:
- October 10: Frozen Come dressed as your favorite Frozen character
- October 17: Planes: Fire and Rescue The fire department will be present with trucks and equipment
- October 24: 101 Dalmations Jefferson SPCA will be in attendance
- October 31: Casper Celebrate Halloween and Gretna Goblin Night with a movie screening, food, games, music, candy and treats from 6:30 – 8:00 pm
October 9, 10 and 11. Friday will feature the live concert at the riverfront amphitheater, Saturday at the Farmer’s Market will include a cooking demo at 10 am and brats, music and German beer from 12-3pm at the German American Cultural Center, located at 519 Huey P. Long Avenue.
Hook & Ladder Cemetery Tour
Saturday, October 17th. First tour at 5 pm, last tour at 8:15 pm. Tickets are $15 per person. Call 504-362-3854 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for ticket purchases.
Citywide Yard Sale
Saturday, October 10th from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Sales will be held along Huey P. Long Avenue and in various locations throughout the city.
October 10th during the Farmer’s Market at Huey P. Long and 4th Street. 8:30 am – 12:30 pm, you’ll find fine art and prints, pottery, jewelry, crafts and more. Call 504-361-1822 for more information.
