A quick look at the Terrytown and Gretna (zip code 70056) absorption rates show that the under $180,000 real estate market is doing very well, indeed. A few notes about the current market:
- Homes priced at less than $160,000 are selling very quickly. A balanced market has a 5-6 month supply of homes for sale and in some price ranges it is leaning towards a sellers market, something we haven’t seen in Terrytown and Gretna for some time.
- Homes priced over $350,000 are experiencing very slow sales. Actually, they are experiencing NO sales for the last 90 days.
